
David Cortés Dalmau was born in Bogotá and grew up in Barcelona. From an early age he was attracted by art, which prompted him to do his studies in screen printing. From 1999 to 2004 he worked as a painter and decorator in different businesses. In 2004 he travels to Italy where he meets his father, a puppeteer, who introduces and teaches him all the acquired knowledge. Later on, he began to build his own puppets, researching new mechanisms and in 2005 he began to travel with his theater making animation shows in the streets of countries like:
Italy (Florence, where he acquired the permit to exercise his activity from 2008 to 2013)
Spain, Greece, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium
In 2007 he began to introduce himself to the clown world and takes seminars with clowns such as: JangoEdwars, Hernand Gene, Murmuyo and Metralleta, Diego Mauriño, Mariano di Franco, Ale Risorio, FannyGiraud,
From 2009 till 2010 he plays leading roles in the company Raúl e Cristina with Pierino e il lupo and Capucceto Rap (puppets)
In 2011 he created Tea3tte, a company where several shows:
Teatrastet: show of clown and puppets (for events, schools and festivals)
Els fills dels fils (the sons of the threads): Addressed to children from 3 to 5 years old (for schools)
Cabaret shows:
Carlos el enano (Carlos the dwarf): magic and humor for all audiences
Jeremy and Petruska: humor only for adults
In 2012 he introduced himself to the theater improvisation with Tomasso Grassi
In 2016 he is hired as an actor by elrow, an international company which creates festivals and music events. Also, in 2017 the company decides to include him in the atrezzo team.
